Neal Olshan's photography experience began in 1958 with a second-hand 35mm Minolta viewfinder camera and endless hours watching and studying the photographer for the "Town Crier", his hometown newspaper in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was this early experimentation and exposure to photography that helped develop his eye for both subject and composition. His affinity for the photographic art medium is readily apparent in his images evoke powerful emotions in the observer.

Neal H Olshan is also a psychologist and author of seven books. He has been a featured guest on numerous national television and radio shows, including: "Oprah," Regis Philbin," "The John Davidson Show," "The Mike Douglas Show," "Donahue," "A.M. Los Angeles," "A.M. Northwest," and "The Richard Simmons Show." Neal has also been featured in such publications as: "Time," Newsweek," The New York Times," "L.A. Times," and "Cosmopolitan," to name a few.
